Burke also said, “The Fate of good men who refuse to become involved in politics is to be ruled by evil men.”
Where are the men of the pulpits while society crumbles under the weight of abortion, homosexual marriage, transgenderism (chemical castration and body mutilation), the disordering of family, religious persecution, and so much more?
When the State is complicit in the destruction of Western civilization, there is a notable intersection of faith and politics. When the Bible speaks so clearly about the destruction of life, the Church must not remain silent. Christians in the pews as well as men in the pulpits cannot remain silent.
Might we offend some people by calling out our political leaders and the practitioners of these evils? Aren’t we being unloving to our neighbor by calling out the evil? Yes to the first and no to the second. We must not shrink back from the evil engulfing our society. Politics and the church meet. As Jonathon Woodyard said,
““No politics or religion at the [church]” isn’t a realistic strategy. Particularly when we realize that our churches are made up of people who have to live in a political world and are often on opposite sides of the political divide. That means pastors enter the pulpit and look out at a congregation that will usually contain Republicans and Democrats in the pew. So, helping men and women live together in the context of a Christian community in the unity of the Spirit is part of the pastoral calling—even amidst political differences. And simply calling men and women to check their opinions at the sanctuary door will not work. We cannot jettison any and all talk of politics. Rather than disengage, we need to engage . . . and engage Christianly.” Source
Will it be costly? Most assuredly. And church leaders need to be teaching and discipling the membership about how to be engaged in the spiritual battle where we live and how to be ready for the inevitable persecution.

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
Thank you for this! I agree and it's becoming harder to find a church that is willing to stand up and speak out for the truth. I'm starting to follow Dr. Reeder now.
